Palestinian Solidarity

Priorities

The Palestinian people have been under Israeli occupation for over 80 years, all the while, the occupation is supported by the U.S. through military spending and exerting its political influence to sustain the occupation. Our chapter’s Palestinian Solidarity Working Group seeks to support the cause of a free Palestine here in the Quad Cities, such as supporting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and educating the public on Palestinian liberation. 

Projects

• Advocacy – We have collaborated with other groups such as the Quad Cities Coalition for Palestine in holding marches and demonstrations since the Israel-Hamas War of 2023. We have also advocated for alternatives to restaurants facing boycotts over their material support for Israel or who profit from Palestinian exploitation as part of BDS.
• Campaigns – Currently we are running a campaign to pressure Moline to pass a resolution supporting a ceasefire in Gaza. Get involved!
